Phillip Agres

Phillip Agres

Postdoctoral Scholar

My research focuses on understanding the organization of the human brain and its relation to cognition, particularly how cortico-hippocampal interactions support episodic memory. I utilize functional neuroimaging and non-invasive brain stimulation to test how individual differences in functional brain networks contribute to differences in behavior and brain function observed across the lifespan.

Johanna M. H. Rau

Johanna M. H. Rau

Postdoctoral Scholar

In my research, I focus on cognitive functions associated with neurological pathologies, specifically in epilepsy and autoimmune diseases of the CNS. By combining neuroimaging, EEG, behavioral experiments, and brain stimulation, I aim to understand how cognitive deficits develop in affected individuals, and how they can be modified. I completed my MD (Dr. med.) at University of Münster, Germany, and hold a MS from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health.

Robert Baudo

Robert Baudo

Research Operations and Data Manager

My research interests include perceptual learning and examining the processes of memory formation, reactivation, and reconsolidation. I completed my PhD at Northwestern University, where I investigated short-term memory reactivation of auditory perceptual memories.

Anikka Jordan

Anikka Jordan

Research Technician

My research interests include MR neuroimaging, TMS, and EEG, with an emphasis on age-related memory loss. My work with the Center involves honing my technical skills in preparation for graduate study. I recently completed my undergraduate education at Emory University, where I received a BS in Psychology with Honors in English. Outside of the lab, I like to write poetry and play with my family dog, Olive.

Dan Biro

Dan Biro

Neurosurgical Research Fellow

I am a neurosurgery resident at the University of Chicago currently doing an enfolded functional neurosurgery and neuroscience research fellowship. My research interest include computational and theoretical biology and neuroscience, memory, functional brain networks and architecture, and consciousness.
