Interventions development

Many of the methods we develop to influence human brain network function in experimental studies are attractive candidates to develop into new clinical interventions. Impairments of memory and cognition result from disrupted network function in many conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease, brain injury, epilepsy, major depression, and many others. Center N.O.I.R. supports collaborative efforts to tailor brain stimulation to counteract these brain-network disruptions and to test the effectiveness of these new interventions for memory and cognitive impairment.
